Nancy offers seminars in Feng Shui, People Reading Skills, ADD/ADHD, Applied Intuition, Real Estate Analysis, Thriving After Divorce, and Dispute Resolution as well as custom topics. She teaches courses at the Academy of Oriental Medicine, the University of Texas Informal Classes, Texas State University, Austin Board of Realtors, San Marcos Board of Realtors and other venues. She has made guest appearances on KLRU television is Austin, TX, was the featured guest on an episode of At Home produced by Shenandoah University Public Television in Winchester, VA, and has traveled as a featured expert speaker for Princess Cruise Lines. Nancy writes for numerous local publications, including a regular syndicated column on Feng Shui in The Austin Homesteader. She also serves clients in D.C. where she has presented at The United States Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Justice.
Philosophy
Nancy grew up with an understanding that the world encompasses far more than the visual representation. Having grown up in a family of clairvoyants and healers, she understood early in life that there were powerful and unseen forces impacting life. Arriving at the University of Texas at 17, she realized her life experiences weren’t the norm, and began studying the subtle energies while getting her degree. Decades later, she realizes that everything in life results from our personal and societal management of the energy we have both within us and surrounding us: mind (thought processing, goals, brain chemistry), body (physical body and home/office environments) and spirit (emotions, intuition, attitudes, intentions). Thought and emotion are powerful energetic currencies, as are money, health, career and relationships. What has evolved is a systematic, science supported, spiritually grounded and liberating toolbox of skills designed to empower each client to be the co-creator of their best life. Everything she does is aimed at helping her clients, family and friends design and live a life that is filled with possibility and fulfillment.
History
Always intrigued by cause and effect, and the relationship between the senses, environment, energy and well being, Nancy declined a music scholarship to attend the University of Texas. She was drawn to the blend of science, medicine, counseling, and psychology within the field of Audiology.
As an Audiologist, she provided diagnostic evaluations and counseling to patients with hearing loss. The empathy she felt for the special needs of the elderly hearing impaired population, led her to envision a medical program offering them hearing aids and related services. At the time such a program did not exist. During a sabbatical year of travel in North Africa the program was developed and when Nancy returned home, she was invited to become it's first Director. The impact of being able to stay in contact with their environment, made it possible for many to continue to live productively and independently in their own homes, as opposed to nursing homes. Witnessing the success associated with visioning one’s goals cemented her commitment to teaching other’s that process.
Another vision became a reality when again she took a nine-month sabbatical to live aboard a 29 foot sailboat, exploring the Gulf of Mexico and the Bahamas. Discovering that some of life's most profound insights come when the old rules cease to work, and that survival depends on finding the hero within, she views adversity and transition as true opportunities. These insights contribute well to her work in helping others maneuver the challenges inherent in career transitions, divorce, and other life changes.
Nancy is an advocate of living life on your own terms and manifesting dreams.
Discovering Feng Shui some years ago, added another versatile, successful skill to her tool chest. After receiving certification in Black Sect/Western Feng Shui, Five Element Theory, and Facial Diagnosis, she began to apply these principles to real estate investing, her personal environment, and other business adventures. Her unusually high intuitive ability to connect with provides practical insights into how to manage energy in ways that help both individuals and businesses thrive, rather than just survive. Widely traveled, she has a deep respect for cultural traditions and spiritual influences, honoring those when making recommendations.
She has rounded out her practice by honoring her family history of energy work by become certified as a Second Degree Reiki Practitioner and intensifying that with the Quantum Touch technique, where she is both a practitioner and will soon be a trainer.
