Residential Consultations

Your home, the landscape around your home, the entrance, colors, decoration and placement all impact the rhythm and events of your life.   They are simultaneously a reflection of your inner world and a partner in the life you create for yourself.

Generally speaking, individuals scheduling a Feng Shui consultation are ready at some level for a positive change.  Many call because their space just doesn’t feel right or work for them; they are constantly moving things around, thinking they need to move, redecorate, or remodel.  Sometimes, they’re right, but just as often it’s the energy in the space that is askew, the arrangement is “off,” or there are other modifiable components that can be shifted to make it feel warm, supportive, comforting and – well, like home.

Others know that Feng Shui is a powerful tool for transformation and are ready to engage because they want to create a blueprint for living that takes them into the future of their choosing – and know that Feng Shui can help them manifest that future.

Who can benefit from a Feng Shui consultation?

What's involved in a consultation?

Every consultation starts with giving some thought to what would really make your heart sing in each of the nine life domains:  Career, Self Knowledge, Family, Prosperity, Reputation, Relationships, Children/Creativity/Future, Helpful People/Travel and Health.   Most of us have been trained to respond to situations instead of proactively designing the life we want.  I call that living on default  - letting someone else make the decisions, because we don’t.  We have become accustomed to thinking in terms of what we “deserve, are trained to do, can expect, and what’s expected of us.”    Creating a Life Plan is the opposite of “living in default mode” because in doing the dreaming, feeling and exploring of possibilities – we take the first step in co-creating our future.   Talking about your Life Plan offers information not only about what you want to happen, but what in your thinking and emotional patterns acts as a barrier to your success.

Next, your environment will be analyzed with respect to ergonomics, color, placement, symbolism and floor plan to determine how your environment supports or detracts from your goals.  Each of the nine life areas mentioned is represented in the floor plan, the arrangement of the physical space and the presentation of your lot.
  • We will move furniture if necessary; talk about the symbolism in your art-work and decorations; offer remedies for clutter or disorganization; discuss color, lighting, sound and traffic patterns; talk about landscaping, entrances and exits; and make adjustments or suggestions about collections.
  • If appropriate, recommendations and step-by-step techniques will be offered to adjust thought, feeling and action so that they are consistent with the outcome your want.  Thought + feeling + action create form.
  • A space clearing and a blessing on your home will close the session to be sure you have a clean “canvas” on which to create the art that is your life.  This process restores the energy in your home to its optimum, which in turn, supports the changes we’ve made and the results you want.

An enormous amount of information comes through this process, and although it may take some time to implement changes, you’ve already started the process of change simply by committing to the process.  Each adjustment is made while holding your intention in your heart and spirit.   This is a synergistic process that engages mind, body, spirit and environment to transform your life in ways you’ve only imagined might be possible.

Client Letter :

"We are still marveling at how much nicer it is to be in our space.  Especially the living room is now enjoyable where before we never went in it..."

Why does Feng Shui Work?

Feng Shui works on a number of different levels simultaneously by contributing to a synergistic effect that is greater than you would receive if adjusting only one of the following areas:

  • Ergonomics
  • Sound
  • Philosophy
  • Color and texture
  • Lighting
  • Intentioning (goal setting with a twist)
  • Symbolism

At first glance, many people tend to think Feng Shui is about moving around the furniture to make a space feel more comfortable, esthetically pleasing and welcoming.  Although it can be used that way and to great benefit, Feng Shui is really about transforming your life using the subtle energies to bring it into the form you desire.

Each of us has probably has the experience of walking into a place and knowing instantly that something is wrong.  You want to “run – don’t walk” to the nearest exit.    You don’t know why, it might even be an attractive  place – but it FEELS wrong!  Also, there are those places, that may be very humble in décor, but that feel so safe, calm and supportive that you just don’t want to leave.  The goal is to create a space and a that  embraces you in comfort, support you emotionally and physically, and that it allows you to function both creatively and productively.  It is possible for all of us and Feng Shui combines science, psychology and the Law of Attraction to create positive change.
