GPS satellite launch scheduled by SpaceX from Cape Canaveral – A GPS satellite will be launched by SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral on Wednesday morning, according to the company’s announcement.
According to the launch schedule provided by the corporation, the launch will take place at 7:10 a.m. from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
In the event of a scrub, SpaceX said a backup launch will be made available on Thursday at 7:05 a.m.
The sixth third-generation navigation satellite for the American Space Force will be sent into orbit as part of SpaceX’s GPS III Space Vehicle 06 mission, according to Kennedy Space Center.
The launch will be SpaceX’s fifth GPS III mission and second national security launch of 2023, the corporation said.
The likelihood that weather would affect the primary and backup launch dates is less than 10%, according to forecasters from Space Launch Delta 45.
